The Ladolcetta Ledger – Christmas Edition 2009

Merry Christmas friends and family!!

All I can say about 2009 is wow!  So much has   happened in 2009 for the Ladolcetta’s.  Everyone is well and life is good.

Don’s life continues as a CPA and is still involved in Marriage Encounter, corn booth at the church fair, church finance committee and project leader on a Dominican Republic hunger project that feeds 1500 poor school children daily..  He took this hunger project hugely personal. and created a website to raise the money needed to feed these kids.  He is excited/obsessed over his creativity in building the website and would love you to visit the site www.ladcpa.com\centro-fe.  Don is in direct contact with the nun who feeds the kids and knows every dollar goes right into the bellies of the kids.   This year Patty & Don took his dream trip to Italy – Rome, Pisa, Tuscany, Florence, Assisi, Venice, Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi and Sorrento.  This was an awesome vacation.

Patty and Don are partners in everything - the CPA business, Marriage Encounter, Corn Booth, Finance Committee, and Hunger project (In fact she would love for you all to make a $5 contribution to calm Don down, as well as ensure the kids eat).  She is still successful in her busy job at Hallandale Beach City Hall as the Chief Financial Officer for the City but is now starting to think how sweet retirement will be in 7 years.  She is delighted that she finally got Don to stop moaning about how bad he wants to go to Italy and enjoyed the trip immensely herself.  Together Patty and Don also visited their married son in Austin and are looking forward to next years vacation adventure to Tennessee.

Did we say married son? YES! WOW! David is on a lightening like track for life! After graduation in December, he got a career job and moved to Austin, Texas in January, married in April, and bought a single family home a few months later.  Don’t worry; there is no baby coming in January.  Randi and Dave plan to wait a few years before that happens, but talk about a light speed life.  David took an engineering job at National Instruments in Austin, Texas.  My new Daughter, Randi, is also on a great life track when after graduating UF, began work at a corporate job for a big Mutual fund and financial services firm.  The 2 newlyweds are experiencing wedded bliss and I get all warm and fuzzy seeing how much she loves my son.  She was a great hostess when we went out to stay at their new 4 bed, 2.5 bath home.  They sadly (for us) must spend the holiday’s in Texas this year and Randi is not excited at missing the warm Florida weather.

Frank is still on scholarship at UCF in Orlando studying electrical engineering.  He lives off campus with 3 roommates where beer pong is the main source of Saturday Night activities after an all day football and tailgate party.  He stayed in Orlando for a terrific internship at Lockheed Martin this summer, marking the end of annual family summer vacations, but he still brings Brittany to our annual Memorial and Labor Day getaways.  Frank is now engaged to Britt who is working on her graduate degree in theatre at UCF.  The 2 of them are getting married this May 2010 – WOW!!!   When that happens I will have 2 daughters to love and be proud of.  Brittany and her family joined us for Thanksgiving dinner this year bringing the seated headcount to 19 people.

God has blessed our lives this year and we hope he blesses yours as well. Text Box: MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM Don, Patty, Dave, Randi, Frank, & Brittany
